Subject: RaonSecure conducts K-DID technical training seminar for Costa Rican government officials
RaonSecure held an educational seminar on Korean mobile ID (K-DID) technology for high-level officials from the Costa Rican government.
IT security and certification platform company RaonSecure held a K-DID technology education seminar for officials from four Costa Rican government ministries at RaonSecure headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, for two days on the 25th and 26th.
Costa Rica's Deputy Health Minister Mora Roberto and other senior government officials from the Ministry of Science and ICT (MICITT), the Ministry of Finance (MOH), and the Central Bank (BCCR) participated. The training seminar was held as part of the invitation training program for the Korea-Costa Rica Digital Government Cooperation Center (DGCC) by the National Intelligence and Information Society Agency (NIA).
At this seminar, RaonSecure introduced its blockchain-based DID identity qualification and certification integration platform technology to Costa Rican government officials and shared examples of mobile ID implementation in Korea to enhance K-DID excellence and technical understanding as a national digital ID.
In addition, after the educational seminar, we also had time to experience hands-on contents such as experimental animal autopsy and drone control provided by Raon Meta's Metademy, a subsidiary of RaonSecure.
On the first day of the training seminar, Costa Rica's ambassador to Korea Jorge Hernandez visited RaonSecure's headquarters and met with Lee Soon-Hyung and Costa Rican government officials to express interest in K-DID technology and encourage mutual cooperation.
RaonSecure won a joint cooperation project with the Korea-Costa Rica Digital Government Cooperation Center in June 2024 and is carrying out Costa Rica's "Public Digital Wallet Construction Project." Through this educational seminar, it is expected that the Costa Rican government's K-DID will increase interest and understanding to speed up the Costa Rican national digital ID construction project.
"Costa Rica is one of the countries that are highly interested in introducing blockchain-based digital IDs in Latin America," said Lee Soon-Hyung, CEO of RaonSecure. "RaonSecure will take the lead in the global spread of K-DID by successfully carrying out the ongoing project to build public digital wallets in Costa Rica."
Meanwhile, RaonSecure is actively developing a global national digital ID construction project based on Korea's experience in building a blockchain-based national mobile ID. In addition to Costa Rica, Indonesia is conducting an integrated digital ID project this year following last year's national digital ID design consulting, and is also consulting with a number of countries such as the Philippines.
